MUBARAK MANDI PALACE

The palace was the royal residence of the maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir from the Dogra dynasty. The grand residence of the Maharaja of Jammu Kashmir, Mubarak Mandi Palace can be spotted from a distance. The oldest structure in the complex dates back to 1824, after which other structures were added gradually. The palace served as the residence of the royals till 1925, and today it is a major tourist attraction portraying a blend of Rajasthani, Mughal, and Baroque (European) styles of architecture. There are several attractions inside, such as the Pink Palace, Gol Ghar Complex, Rani Charak Palace and Nawa Mahal.
